What Happens If You Look At The Bible With An Unbiased Point Of View-and Apply The Scientific Method And Logic?
If you approach the christian bible like any other book that claims to be fully true and accurate-with an unbiased viewpoint-that allows you to apply logical reasoning skills and the scientific method to the book.
Right away we discover that 1). the creation story appears to have been transliterated in part from sumerian and babylonian mythology and 2). the story as described is not consistent with the established facts of what we know about our planet. Moving on we find the exdous story–the moses character appears to have been transliterated from the much older king sargon myth. When we examine the historical record we find no evidence whatsoever for the hebrews in bondage in egypt, the exdous, the ten plagues, and we find no historical evidence of the hebrew occupation of the promised land until about 1000 years after the purported story. Moving on we find the Noah and the ark story to be nearly a direct plagarism of the much older sumerian epic of gilgmaesh. Further the study of geology directly refutes a global flood in historic times–no question. Moving on we find the story of the tower of babel–directly refuted by linguistics (all languages could be traced back to a single common geographic area–when in fact languages leap frog due to geographical isolation. Again unequivocal. Then there is the story of the sun stopping in the sky for a day–clearly–with the hubble telescope we could pick up the huge layer of detritus leaving the earth at 26,000 miles per hour as it followed newtons law. Skipping over many of the other bible stories with no historical support–move to the new testament.
There is no contemporary historical support for the jesus character–no mention of any of the miralces–no mention of the temple curtian being torn in two. Paul is thought to have been an epileptic who heard voices–and is probably the author of the jesus fable–the gospel writers obviously had no idea of the actual history of the first half of the first century-which is why there are historical errors in them. No other culture-noted a bright star in the sky for example.
Finally the jesus myth appears to have it’s roots in the mithraic/horus mythology.
When you look at it with an unbiased point of view–it isn’t difficult to reject the idea–only the wilfull ignorance brought on by blind faith when there is evidence to the contrary allows you to take any other position.

Do You Think It’s Rude When People Speak Polish In Front Of You?
In my past couple of jobs I have worked with Polish people that talk to each other in Polish when. This alone was not what upset me though. As three people would be on a shift at one given time, I often found myself cut out of conversations as I could never understand what they were saying, we would be walking around one another, and they would talk across me and around the room in Polish.
I have found that shop assistants from any foreign country will also talk in their language in front of me.
I’m worried I am being racist, but I also feel that they are being rude as they know I can’t understand. It’s like they are having a private conversation every day and cutting me out deliberately, it’s like whispering.
I have always tried to include them in conversations but they always go back to Polish to each other. It’s a shame because they can actually speak English.

So They Say You’re Only Looking At The Bad Apples Of Christianity, But After Many Examples, Where Are The Good?
After excluding the fanatics/serial killers, child molesters, incests, christian soldiers in religious wars, religious leaders in inquisitions, the evangelical fanatics condemning jews, gays, pro-choice women, liberals, and anyone else who are “different” than them in their eyes, KKKs, mormons, protestants vs church of england vs lutherans vs catholics, christian crusades killing of innocent women and children only because they weren’t buying into your belief, and so on, WHAT ARE YOU LEFT WITH? very small percentage of the “good apples” of Christianity who, in history, were also condemned and killed by other Christians of so many other branches of Christianity/Catholicism.
so, what are you believing in? There are so many different sects. Each proclaims and defends that they’re believing in the one and true religion of Christianity. Each say they’re following the words of God in the Bible and criticize that yours is the false word. Are you believing in your own interpretation of the Bible? Are you believing in the group of “like-minded” people in your church? But there are so many different churches. With that many discrepancies, what are you really believing in? Can’t say the literal words in the Bible because that has gone through so many translations and interpretations in different foreign languages before getting to today’s English.

Linguistics Help! Shakespeare Question And Others?
Please help me with the following questions!
1) “He said that that that that boy used was wrong.” Punctuate this sentence so that its semantic element is clearer. Explain the meaning by reference to the fact that the part of speech of a word depends upon its grammatical function.
2) Shakespeare often used the word “ere”. Explain why modernizing “ere” to “before” would detract from its power.
3) Define the prescriptive and descriptive definitions of language and use the word “hopefully” prescriptively and descriptively.”
THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE. 10 points for best answer!
